As the days are getting shorter the leaves begin to change, it's time to prep your home for fall.
Below are some helpful Fall home maintenance tips to help you get started this season:
EXTERIOR
• Drain, clean & store your outdoor equipment. Finish any outdoor seasonal yard maintenance.
• Fertilizing your lawn in autumn will trigger growth so your lawn will be thick & healthy again before winter.
• Get those gutters inspected & cleaned out. While you're up there, it is a great time to check your roof shingles & skylights.
• Seal up any cracks in your foundation & driveway.
INTERIOR
• Windows & Doors: make sure your windows & exterior doors are sealed tightly. Maybe time to replace your weather stripping.
• Inspect your heating system: replace any filters & have your furnace serviced if needed.
• Have your chimney & fireplace cleaned & checked out.
• Check smoke detectors: make sure your smoke detectors have batteries & are functioning properly.
